IBC (www.ibchotels.com) founded by Pamela Barnhill who grew up in the independent hotel business, daughter of an Independent Hotelier/Owner/Manager, Pamela experienced first-hand the sales and marketing trials and lack of cost-effective operations resources for independent hoteliers. To combat the lack of affordable resources, Pamela founded IBC (InnDependent Boutique Collection) Hotels which is Independent Hotel Network to address this problem of feeling like operating on an island. To date, Pamela is President and COO of independent hotels which she has successfully tested these sales/marketing/operations methods.
Hoteliers love IBC. Hoteliers no longer have to pay the 15-30% to OTAs as IBC Hotels has a no-risk solution for many independent hotel owners — Pay only 10% of the incremental revenue based on reservations IBC sends the hotel and the hotel receives added reservations, a strong independent network along with the free InnDependent InnCentives travel rewards frequent traveler program. No high fees. No Hassle. IBC was founded by Independent Hoteliers and knows what it means to run a hotel independently and the challenges it bears. “Solutions for Independent Hoteliers by Independent Hoteliers”
Independent Lodging Industry Association has been formed to promote, protect and advance the interests of independent lodging properties, lodging owners, independently owned franchised hotels, management teams, and other industry professionals to provide a network of resources to support member efficiency, profitability and professionalism. First and foremost is our view that a vibrant lodging industry that offers the greatest choice best serves the travelling public.
The Independent Lodging Industry Association (ILIA) was founded by The California Lodging Industry Association (CLIA) in 2010. CLIA was founded in 1946 and represents the voice of lodging owners and operators. ILIA’s nearly 5,000 members are small business people made up of independent hotel owners and operators.
ILIA’s mission is to provide an outlet to hotels in all states to have representation in Washington D.C. and their State Capitol. ILIA exists to promote consumer choice in the travel industry and support the free-market against attempts to limit competition.
Every year, laws are passed that impact the lodging industry. Chain hotels and corporate franchises have dominated the policy making process and independently owned hotels currently do not have a seat at the table. Fair franchising laws, burdensome tax regulations, transient occupancy taxes, and many other issues are decided in halls of the Capitol from Sacramento to Washington, D.C. ILIA will level the playing field and allow independent hotels a seat at the table.
ILIA focuses on four key components: Advocacy, Education, Networking, and Resources.
INNJOYtravel.commatches travelers and groups to lodging partners through activities. As a new company to the travel scene, INNJOYtravel has seen tremendous growth by focusing on connecting travelers with the passion for travel to the places and experiences they love to see.
Group and meeting planners use INNJOYtravel as a resource to search unique lodging facilities all over the World to give their attendees an unforgettable experience. Each lodging partner is able to showcase their individual attributes by offering their core activities and experiences, rather than competing for placement by price or brand.
